Who you're dealing with

Cards & Coffee is one person, not a chain. A local buyer who'd rather meet you for a coffee and talk about your collection than have you mail it to a warehouse and hope for the best.

The name started as a joke

A fellow software developer and I were talking about how quickly our jobs have changed due to AI and LLMs. Marveling at how much more we can build now than we could five years ago, and in the same breath, wondering whether our jobs will exist ten years from now.

Somewhere in that conversation I said: people will still want to buy cards and coffee after AI takes over.

It was a punchline. It stuck anyway, because the more I sat with it the more it sounded like a plan. The things that last are the ones worth doing in person. Sitting across a table from someone, going through a box together, talking about cards, and sipping coffee. That's not something that can be easily replaced.

How this works

There's no shop to visit. Cards & Coffee sells online through Mana Pool, and buys collections in person around Franklin & Nashville, Tennessee. When we agree on a price, we meet at whichever coffee shop you like best, go through the cards together, and you leave paid in cash or Venmo the same day.

You don't have to be a player. A lot of what comes my way belonged to somebody else, or was bought years ago and hasn't been looked at since. If you can describe roughly what's in the box, that's enough to start with.

Offers are 65% of TCGplayer market value on cards worth more than 50 cents, and anything over $100 is worth a conversation. That number is on the website on purpose. You should be able to check the math yourself before you ever send a message.

If a collection isn't a fit, we'll say so and point you somewhere that is. A fair "no" is better for everyone than a lowball offer.
